About me

Haven't I seen you about town with a woman and a small child?

Indeed you may have! Said companions were most likely my stunning wife, J, and our handsome twenty-two-month old, Rhett. We were probably smiling and laughing and carrying on and so forth, and it might have had something to do with the shirt you were wearing that day, but there is a better chance we were simply enjoying our lives together - something we consider a cherished blessing, despite the shirt you were wearing that day.

I don't wear shirts, but what activities do your family enjoy together?

Independently we each have our own particular penchants - J and her printmaking, Rhett and his uttering vowel-sounds, and I suppose my own steady fluctuations between karate and breakdancing. Together we enjoy milk and movies about bankrobbers.

Do you have a design philosophy?

Sure. I would put it somewhere close to Joshua Allen's Recipe for Zesty Living: Every day I should create a little and destroy a little.

What motivates you as a designer?

Pre-existing design disasters, natural disasters, cave-ins esp., manifest destiny and anytime a monkey is introduced mid-season into the cast of a sitcom.

About this site

Where exactly are the scenes in your background photos located?

These images are manipulations of my own personal vacation photos, many captured during a recent visit to Lovington, New Mexico, others in parts surrounding. Lovington is a once-great county seat that has in large part been passed over by minor eventualities such as, oh, time.

Anything special under the hood?

Nothing special; perhaps personal. During recent years I have challenged myself to produce HTML and CSS in accordance with standards set forth by the W3C and promoted/practiced by web gurus such as Jeffry Zeldman, etc. What you won't find under this hood are tables, non-standard tags of any sort or "spacer-gifs". The year is 2007, and I'm coding in it.

Weren't you in a Def Leppard video?

The evidence is compelling, but this is clearly NOT me.
